For many folks, regular back pain is common, but it is surely not normal.
We’ve been taught that upkeep of the muscles & spine is a luxury, only for those who can afford it.
What I have learnt over the years, is that visiting a good chiropractor & getting regular massages, especially deep tissue massage, is like brushing your teeth.
It is an upkeep that the body needs to stay healthy, flexible, comfortable & at ease.
Pain & discomfort in the back is never normal, only normalized by a society that likes to wait a long time until symptoms become a dis-ease & ‘chronic’ or worse, degenerative.
Even if you are a healer, and fairly healthy. The muscles & spine need some care & upkeep. The overlooked needs of the body.
Massage & Chiropractor should be a regular routine for everyone.
& To be a talented masseur or chiropractor is not easy. There are many who just go with the motions, without understanding or appreciating the holistic knowledge of the body.
The body is not merely a system of muscles, bones, and joints to be adjusted; it is a living vessel of stories, memories, and unspoken emotions.
The Muscles, Fascia, Spine all hold onto stress, trauma, emotions, energies…
Every touch, every release, every adjustment carries the potential to open space within a person’s being.
Those who truly do deep work into the physical body are not only skilled with technique, they are intuitive and sensitive.
Their hands learn to listen, to notice the subtle language of tension and flow. They sense where the body guards itself, where it longs to soften, where it hides pain beneath layers of habit.
The true needs of the human body is nothing to be ashamed of. It is something to be celebrated and cultivated so that humanity can live a true, healthy, happy life without having to live with these pains as ‘normal’.
